Ingredients:
14 oz. (400g) firm tofu
1 tbsp. olive oil
For the sauce:
¼ tsp. ground turmeric
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. onion powder
¼ tsp. paprika
½ tsp. chili flakes
½ tsp. salt
black pepper, to taste
1 ½ tbsp. tahini
2 tbsp. nutritional yeast
½ cup (120ml) oat milk
Method:
1. Drain the tofu, then cover in a clean dish towel and place under a chopping board, laying some weight on top. Press for 15 minutes to remove some of the liquid.
2. Make the sauce by mixing all the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl until well combined.
3. Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over a medium-high. Crumble the tofu into the skillet and sauté until golden brown, approximately 5 minutes.
4. Add the sauce to the skillet and mix well to combine, ensuring each piece of tofu is coated with the sauce. Continue cooking for another minute, then take off the heat and serve.
